Size
When using the recommended hook size, yarn, the yarn under method (x stitch), the chill pill measures 1.5 inches/3.8 centimeters.
Materials
Materials needed to create the toy in order to replicate my toy:
- Crochet hook size: 5 mm hook
- Yarn used: Bulky Weight Chenille Yarn (Weight 5)- (Teal, White, Black)
- Scraps of thin black yarn
- Stuffing
- Darning needle
- Stitch marker (optional)
Arms
Use Teal, make 2. Arms are not stuffed.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR. [6]
Rounds 2-6: 6 sc. [6] (5 rounds)
Round 7: Flatten and 3 sc across. [3]
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing.
Head
Use Teal. Stuff as you go.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR. [6]
Round 2: (inc) x 6. [12]
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 6. [18]
Round 4: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, sc. [24]
Rounds 5-8: 24 sc. [24] (4 rounds)
Round 9: sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) x 5, sc. [18]
Round 10: 18 sc. [18]
Round 11: (sc, dec) x 6. [12]
Round 12: 12 sc. [12]
Round 13: (dec) x 6. [6]
Cut yarn and weave end through the remaining front loops.
Body
Use Teal. Stuff as you go.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR. [6]
Round 2: (inc) x 6. [12]
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 6. [18]
Round 4: (5 sc, inc) x 3. [21]
Rounds 5-7: 21 sc. [21] (3 rounds)
Round 8: (5 sc, dec) x 3. [18]
Round 9: (sc, dec) x 6. [12]
Round 10: 12 sc. [12]
Round 11: (dec) x 6. [6]
Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing. Sew between rounds 12 and 13 of the head. Sew the arms between rounds 9 and 10.
Feet
Use Teal, make 2. Lightly stuff.
Round 1: 8 sc in MR. [8]
Rounds 2-4: 8 sc. [8] (3 rounds)
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing. Sew onto the front of the body between rounds 3 and 6.
Eyes
Use Black, make 2.
In MR, sl st, hdc, (dc) x 3, hdc, sl st. [7]
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing. Sew onto the head between rounds 7 and 10, with the tips facing in. Add a stitch of white to each corner.
