Size

When using the recommended hook size, yarn, the yarn under method (x stitch), the Bookworm measures 25.5 inches/64.7 centimeters.

Head

Use Keylime. Stuff as you go.

Round 1: 8 sc in MR. [8]

Rounds 4-5: 18 sc. [18] (2 rounds)

Start stuffing.

Round 6: (dec) x 4, 10 sc. [14]

Round 7: (dec) x 2, 10 sc. [12]

Rounds 8-18: 12 sc. [12] (11 rounds)

Stop stuffing at round 14.

Round 19: 2 sc (adjust as needed to get the side of the arm- the decreases you made in rounds 6 and 7 should be in the center), flatten and 6 sc across. [6]

Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.

Sew between rounds 2 and 5 on the color Hibiscus.

 

Book Cover

Use Rose.

Row 1: Ch 14, starting in the 3rd ch from the hook, 12 dc. Ch 2 and turn. [12]

Rows 2-4: 12 dc. Ch 2 and turn. [12] (3 rows)

Row 5: 12 dc. Ch 1 and turn. [12]

Row 6: BLO, 12 sc. Ch 1 and turn. [12]

Row 7: 12 sc. Ch 2 and turn. [12]

Row 8: BLO, 12 dc. Ch 2 and turn. [12]

Rows 9-11: 12 dc. Ch 2 and turn. [12] (3 rows)

Row 12: 12 dc. Ch 1 and turn. [12]

Round 13: sc around the edge of the book cover.

Cut yarn and weave in ends.

 

Book Pages

Use Cream, make 3.

Row 1: Ch 13, starting in the 3rd ch from the hook, 11 hdc. Ch 2 and turn. [11]

Rows 2-5: 11 hdc. Ch 2 and turn. [11] (4 rows)

Row 6: 11 hdc. Ch 1 and turn. [11]

Repeat Rows 1-6 for the first 2 pages- Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Page 3- Repeat Rows 1-6 and go onto Row 7, do not cut yarn.

Row 7: Holding all the book pages together, 11 sc through all 3 pages.

Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.

Sew the pages to the inside of the book. The BLO you did on the book cover should be on the outside of the book.
