Scraps of light pink yarn
6 mm crochet hook
Stuffing
25 mm safety eyes

Body
Use Pale Grey. Stuff as you go.
Round 1: 8 sc in MR. [8]
Round 2: (inc) x 8. [16]
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 8. [24]
Round 4: (3 sc, inc) x 6. [30]
Round 5: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc. [36]
Round 6: (5 sc, inc) x 6. [42]
Round 7: 42 sc. [42]
Round 8: 3 sc, inc, (6 sc, inc) x 5, 3 sc. [48]
Round 9: (7 sc, inc) x 6. [54]
Round 10: 4 sc, inc, (8 sc, inc) x 5, 4 sc. [60]
Round 11: 60 sc. [60]
Round 12: (9 sc, inc) x 6. [66]
Rounds 13-28: 66 sc. [66] (16 rounds)
Insert eyes between rounds 14 and 15 with 9 visible stitches in between. I placed my eyes on the opposite side of the stitch marker.
Round 29: (9 sc, dec) x 6. [60]
Round 30: 4 sc, dec, (8 sc, dec) x 5, 4 sc. [54]
Round 31: (7 sc, dec) x 6. [48]
Round 32: 3 sc, dec, (6 sc, dec) x 5, 3 sc. [42]
Round 33: (5 sc, dec) x 6. [36]
Round 34: 2 sc, dec, (4 sc, dec) x 5, 2 sc. [30]
Round 35: (3 sc, dec) x 6. [24]
Round 36: (sc, dec) x 8. [16]
Round 37: (dec) x 8. [8]
Cut yarn and weave end through the remaining front loops.
Ear (Make 2)
Start with Birch.
Row 1: Ch 8, starting in the 3rd ch from the hook, dc inc, 4 dc, dc inc. Ch 1 and turn. [8]
Row 2: (sc, 2 dc, sc) x 2. Ch 1 and turn. [8]
Row 3: (sc, 2 dc inc, sc) x 2. Ch 1 and turn. [12]
Row 4: (sc, (dc, dc inc) x 2, sc) x 2. Ch 1 and turn. [16]
Row 5: (sc, (2 dc, dc inc) x 2, sc) x 2. [20]
Change to Pale Grey
Row 6: Ch 1 and turn. sc, hdc, tr inc, 3 tr, tr inc, dc, hdc, 2 sl st, hdc, dc, tr inc, 3 tr, tr inc, dc, (hdc, sc in the same stitch). [25]
Row 7: Crocheting around the edge- 5 sc down the side, 6 sc across the bottom of the chain, 5 sc down the side. Sl st to the first st.
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing. Weave in the extra ends. I weaved my tail to the initial chains to make sewing easier.
Trunk
Use Pale Grey. Stuff lightly as you go.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR. [6]
Round 2: (sc, inc) x 3. [9]
Rounds 3-4: 9 sc. [9] (2 rounds)
Round 5: (2 sc, inc) x 3. [12]
Rounds 6-8: 12 sc. [12] (3 rounds)
Round 9: (3 sc, inc) x 3. [15]
Rounds 10-12: 15 sc. [15] (3 rounds)
Stuff until round 12.
Round 13-15: (4 sc, inc) x 3. [18] (3 rounds)
Round 16: Flatten and work 9 sc across going through both layers. [9]
Cut yarn and leave a tail for sewing.
Assembly
1.Sew the trunk between rounds 14 and 15- in between the eyes.
2.Sew the ears to the side of the head between rounds 14-18, approximately 4 stitches from the eyes.
3.Embroider pink cheeks.
