Yarn used: Premier Parfait Chunky
(100g/120m/131yds) – Weight 6
- Bubblegum (1150-08)
- Cream (1150-07)
- Cotton Candy (1150-03)
- White (1150-03)
5.5 mm hook
10.5 mm safety eyes
Stuffing
Darning/Tapestry needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
Mushroom
Stuff as you go.
Start with Bubblegum.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR. [6]
Round 2: (inc) × 6. [12]
Rounds 3-4: 12 sc. [12] (2 rounds)
Round 5: (sc, inc) × 6. [18]
Round 6: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) × 5, sc. [24]
Round 7: 24 sc. [24]
Drop Bubblegum and leave the yarn in front to pick it back up later. Change to Cream.
Round 8: BLO, 24 sc. [24]
Rounds 9-12: 24 sc. [24] (4 rounds)
Insert eyes between rounds 11 and 12, with 3 visible stitches in between. Embroider a mouth over round 13 and embroider cheeks with Cotton Candy yarn. (picture 1)
Round 13: (3 sc, inc) x 6. [30]
Round 14: 30 sc. [30]
Round 15: (3 sc, dec) x 6. [24]
Round 16: sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) x 5, sc. [18]
Round 17: (sc, dec) x 6. [12]
Round 18: (dec) x 6. [6]
Cut yarn and leave a long tail to weave through the remaining front loops. (picture 2)
Mushroom Top Detail:
Turn mushroom upside down. Using the Bubblegum yarn you left hanging, pick it up and pull up a loop in the first FLO stitch and ch 1 (ch 1 doesn’t count as a stitch).
Round 1: (3 sc, inc) x 6. [30]
Round 2: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc. [36]
Round 3: 16 sc, (inc) x 6, 14 sc. [42] (the increases this round are on the right side of the eyes)
Cut yarn and weave in end. With white yarn, embroider spots.
