5.5 mm hook
16 mm safety eyes
Stuffing
Scraps of thin black yarn
Darning/Tapestry needle

Arms
Use Orchid, make 2. Stuff the hand lightly.
Round 1: 5 sc in MR. [5]
Round 2: (inc) × 5. [10]
Rounds 3-4: 10 sc. [10] (2 rounds)
Round 5: (dec) x 2, 6 sc. [8]
Rounds 6-7: 8 sc. [8] (2 rounds)
Round 8: 4 sc, flatten and make 4 sc across. [4]
Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.
Head/Body
Use Orchid. Stuff as you go.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR. [6]
Round 2: (inc) × 6. [12]
Round 3: (sc, inc) × 6. [18]
Round 4: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, sc. [24]
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x 6. [30]
Round 6: 2 sc, inc, (4 sc, inc) x 5, 2 sc. [36]

Insert eyes between rounds 11 and 12, with 6 visible stitches in between.

Cut yarn and weave end through the remaining front loops. Pull tight to close.
Bowtie
Use Lilac.
Round 1: Leave a long starting tail. In magic ring- Ch 3, 3 tr, ch 3, sl st, ch 3, 3 tr, ch 3, sl st. [8]
Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing. Wrap one strand of yarn around the center of the bow. Sew onto your ghost.
Bat Wings
Use Lilac, make 2.
Round 1: 8 sc in MR. [8]
Round 2: (inc) x 8. [16]
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 8. [24]
Round 4: sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 7, sc. [32]
Round 5: (7 sc, inc) x 4. [36]
Round 6: (5 sc, inc) x 6. [42]
Rounds 7-9: 42 sc. [42] (3 rounds)
Round 10:
Wing 1: Flatten your wing and work through both layers- (sc, hdc, dc inc, hdc, sl st) x 4, sl st. [21]
Wing 2: Flatten your wing and work through both layers- sl st, (sl st, hdc, dc inc, hdc, sc) x 4. [21]
Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
- Sew arms between rounds 20 and 21. The two decreases you made in round 5, should be facing inward when sewing (facing the body).
- Embroider a smile and eyebrows.
- Sew the bowtie on the body.
- Sew the bat wings to the back of the body- the ends of the wings should touch each other.
